See, this is why I had to make sure Obama got into office, instead of McCain.


I'm shaking a little with relief just thinking about the implications of this.

It just seems so stupid that it has taken until 2009 for something like that to happen.

I think the history of civil rights in this country is a good (albeit an infuriating) indication of how long it takes for the fair thing to happen.

I only brought it up because I heard this story on NPR where McCain more or less opposed the Act and so Mrs. Ledbetter then decided to back Obama.

Exactly.

When working on his campaign, I kept getting the whole "you're expecting the Messiah" speech. I'm like, no... I'm just expecting someone who'll tell soldiers to stop looking to "24" for inspiration on "interrogation" techniques.
