I'm an INFP, an Enneagram type 2, and score high as both an Accomodating/Harmonizing (Sanguine) and Affiliating/Perfecting (Melancholic) on the Gilmore-Fraleigh personal styles test. I once had my IQ tested, but I've never seen hard-copy proof of it, so I'm not going to tell you what it is just in case I'm wrong. If you really need to know, you can ask my mom.

In Greek zodiac, I'm a Taurus- which means I'm really stubborn (no, really- I'm stubborn), and apparently have a thing for ambiance. The internet tells me my rising sign is Libra, and my moon sign is Sagittarius. I have no idea what either of those mean. In Chinese zodiac, I'm a dragon. So pretty much I'm stubborn.

No, wait- I take that back. Actually, I prefer the word "tenacious".

I'm a Chicago-area native who loves to travel, but is deeply sentimentally attached to Lake Shore Drive. Due to this (well, partly due to this), I have the entire script and soundtrack to The Blues Brothers completely memorized. Go ahead. Try me.

I want to save the world. Not the "kill the bad guy" save the world, or "make sure everyone gets to heaven" save the world. Just, well, you know- save the world. That means I believe every human being deserves to live in safety, with appropriate shelter and food, and in a society free of oppression. Everyone should be allowed to live with personal sovereignty.

I live in intentional community with subdermalglow, priestlygoth, whereisjoy, sabacthani, ironlemur, and The Artist Formerly Known As _narcissis_. We are a liberal, progressive Christian community with a rule based on The Rule of St. Benedict, that includes hospitality, social justice, and the arts. We also live with four insane cats, and are dangerously close to being serial fish owners. We watch a lot of Star Trek Sci-Fi, and really like pirates, too.

I talk about Palestine a lot. If that's not something you want to read about, you probably shouldn't friend me. My journal is not a ground for debating the issue, and if you push this boundary you will not be welcome here anymore.

I also talk a lot these days about the chronic pain condition- which may or may not be related to Slipping Rib Syndrome we don't know what the fuck it is and I've stopped caring- I've had since I woke up in inexplicable pain on March 20th, 2006. It has radically altered my life, and I'm still trying to find any silver lining. I whine a lot. Just so you know.
