Due to the drastic drop in temperature, the 87,000 feet of snow outside, and the fact that her cold took a decided turn for the worse, Captain

violachic has decided to declare a temporary Winter DefCon 2. The Captain will reconsider this come Tuesday, when the temperature begins to rise again, or when the cold symptoms begin to abate, whichever comes first.
