I'm feeling the compulsion to put something here, but I don't really have the energy.

Got my Symphonic Pops info in the mail. We're doing the State Fair again this year, about which I have mixed feelings. I thought I was going to go down the night before, but this year our Palatine concert is that Saturday night. Oh well. Another year of leaving at the crack of dawn! At least they have fried snickers!

Continued fight with mom yesterday. Basically, my list of grievances consist of:

-Don't tell me how to dress for job interviews. I've been doing job interviews for twelve years. I think I know how to dress.

-Don't tell me what to wear to church. Or even that I have to go to church.

-Don't tell me how clean or dirty my house is.

-Don't keep rubbing my face into my past mistakes, especially college.

-Don't get pissed at me if I dye my hair or pierce something. I'm twenty-seven years old. Its none of your business.

-I know I'm fat. You don't need to remind me every twenty minutes. And quit telling me what to eat and what not to eat.

Thank you very much. Have a good night.

None of that is any of her business. at all.

It's really really really really hard (nearly impossible) to ignore a nagging mom, I know. Just remember that everything she's saying is NONE OF HER BUSINESS.....then you dont have to ignore, you can try to just blow off the bullshit and keep the good stuff....(again, WAY easier said than done.)

but remember, there are good things about your mom.

Just like there are good things about MY mom. and most moms.
