I protected it in case the people involved ever happen to read it! But they probably won't read my friends' journals... so, just for you, I'll copy the text of that journal entry here:

I was sitting outside on my neighbor's front porch with Colleen and Joanna last night. Colleen is the older sister, in her late twenties, even though she graduated from the Savannah College of Art after her sister did.

We watched the sunset and I told them about Mission: Space.

"Now, there aren't any animals on Mars, right?" Colleen asked. "Just plants?"

I said no, there haven't been any animals or plants found yet on other planets. "Wait," Colleen protested, "I thought I heard on TV that they found plants on another planet. Maybe Jupiter? Yeah, Jupiter, that was it."

I told her that Jupiter is a gas giant and wouldn't be a likely place to find plants growing. They asked how many planets there are, and I named the ones in our solar system, and Joanna made a joke at 'Uranus.'

Then we launched into a larger discussion of exopaleontology, at which Colleen asked:

"Tell me something. Dinosaurs, did they really exist?"

And before I could answer, Joanna jumped in: "Of course they existed," she said, rolling her eyes. "What do you think the cavemen ate?"

And then Joanna stopped herself and looked to me for confirmation. "Cavemen did exist, right?"
