Jul. 10th, 2003 04:33 pmThere is chicken here. I must make it. Anyone have any good ideas/suggestions/cooking tips for making chicken? It is boneless breasts, I think. I am a terrible cook. I need to somehow make this edible. Thank you.
P.S. If you are trying to get ahold of me at my mother's place, please make sure you leave a message. I have been out all day and there is no caller ID here. I am almost out of minutes for my cell phone so I am conserving them and therefore have my cell turned off. THank you!

Date: 2003-07-11 01:38 pm (UTC)1. Lightly coat the bottom of a skillet with oil. (I like flavored olive oils, like the garlic oil you can get from Trader Joe's, but any oil will do.)
2. Put chicken breast in pan. Cook for five minutes a side. Juice should run clear. Take out the chicken. Put it on a plate.
3. Pour a quarter-cup of cream into the pan. Stir, so the chicken bits browned onto the pan dissolve into the cream. Add spices (oregano or something). Let the cream cook down a little bit. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
A recommendation: The recently-released "Dad's Own Cookbook" is a great super-basic cookbook with good, easy recipes. It's a cooking-if-you-don't-know-anything book. I like it a lot.
