I'm flipping out.

Now,I know there's some of you i don't know well. Maybe we've just added each other to our respective friend's lists. Some I've met, but don't know well. But the bulk of my friends list I've known and been close to for six years (actually, five years and eleven months- the sixth anniversary of Vocare is at the end of July); one I'm closely related to; one I've been very good friends with for thirteen years.

Of those I've known for ages, raise your hand if you've ever seen me flip out. I mean, truly flip out- not like "gee I'm pretty ticked" flip out.

Yeah, I'm flipping out.

There is a car that needs massive repairs. We still owe him for the clutch job. How the hell am I going to pay off the rest?

I will not work for Kagan and Gaines any longer. I can't. I refuse to. Someone has already expressed to me that they don't understand what the big deal was about what happened this morning. Suffice to say, this is the end of a long string of stupid, manipulative things this psychotic lady has pulled in the four years I've been there. I don't feel the need to justify myself any further than that.

I have no money. In order to get money I need to go in tomorrow and teach. It is the first of the month and they all owe me for tuition.

Did I mention I'm flipping out?

I have a rehearsal in Palatine tonight. If I don't go, I don't get paid. Plus, its a dress rehearsal for Sunday's concert, and Frank will be utterly pissed if I don't show. I don't know how I'm getting there yet.

I'm flipping out.

That number includes the money we've paid already and the money that's due. It's not a new cost. I just didn't want you to think that it's $1260 MORE than we thought... it's only a couple HUNDRED more than we thought.

I'll find out for sure later today.

In the meantime, please take a deep breath. Then, pick up the phone and call Borders. See if they're hiring. They would be lucky to have you. Let them know that.

Any way you can walk over here to my work? It will only take about 45 minutes or so.

TIME for a brand new used car!

i know you may be against taking out a loan for a new used car... but in the long run it will save you money...

this one has turned into a money pit...

I love you and understand that you are upset about it..
but I see cutting losses as a solution on this one.

xx

We already paid about $500, and owe $300 today for work already done. Might as well drive the hell out of it and save for a new one...

But yes. It has turned into a money pit.

All will be OK soon.

Love you, too!

Do you have any interest in driving me to Palatine tonight?

i'll take you only as far as the Palatinian border, then turn back from there what with all the turmoil over there

:D

That sounds like an awful mess!!! Do you get to keep any of your students if you leave the music store, or are they required to stick with the store? I hate dealing with shit like that... and especially with money pressures on top of everything!

There's no contract at all with the store, luckily. When a teacher left last summer there was some flap from this psychotic woman about lawsuits and stuff, but I know there is NOTHING that would even hold up remotely as a lawsuit. The place is so flaky, and the person who thinks she's in charge is such an idiot that it would probably cause some flames if I tried but there would be no serious repercussions.

I posted this is your sister's journal and then read all the comments here. Uh...disregard it I guess:

I'm pretty sure I posted this, but what kind of a car is it? My father is a great mechanic on GM cars and could probably knock a few hundred off that if done as a sidejob. You'd need to get it to Monee, IL.

I am sorry things are going so bad for you..

and about the car.

:x

They can never do anything to you car without your consent, and expect you to pay for it.. so next time you hear we have to do x amount of dollars work to it, and it still might not run goooo-ooood (southern style).. tell them fuck it. Have it towed somewhere else, or have whatever done to get it to run (weither it be by them, or one of your friends. Which can not possibly be all that they listed) and have the plathora of your mechanic friends come and look at it.

When your rich, and you have your own CD.. and own your prized 17th century viola.. you look at all this, and laugh. ;)

As a person recently added to your friends list, I must say that I can agree this is a situation most worth flipping out over.

Major advice issue: Tea. You need some antioxidants and some rest, which granted, given your time frame is not terribly convenient. But who ever said a 30 minute siesta with some Darjeeling wasn't worth it?

As cheap as it sounds, best of luck in coping. How did you find me, btw? (Answer this question later).

Nahhhhhhhh, I'll answer this question first. Its easy. I found you cos you are one of [livejournal.com profile] dacookiemonster's friends, and then I recognized your screen name in the Israel_Arab community. You looked interesting.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. Actually, it looks like very good advice! I am a tea addict, although I may have to substitute chamomile for darjeeling. Sorry you had such a baptism by fire to my journal- I can assure you its not all such a soap opera!

Worry not. Believe me, I go to a high school for "gifted youngsters". I know what drama is all about, and it doth pass.

But i must wave a nagging finger at chamomile...it's just so bland.
