I think it's partly that and partly the huge endorphin rush when the pain lessens. I remember being very blissed out when they dosed me (I was in the ER 3 times last year thanks to kidney stones).
I was like that two weeks ago - I had my gall bladder out and it hurt like hell, but after the Morpheine, I really didn't care that it hurt, and I couldn't string a sentence together to tell anyone it hurt still anyway!! LOL
Yay for the wonderful people of the 'nidge. And yeah, I will admit that I fear those germs. This sounds a lot like the wischolera, which I only narrowly escaped.
Yeah, I have Tramadol for breakthrough pain, and it doesn't help with cramps, either. Luckily, tylenol worked last night, once I got stuff to stay down- I didn't want to risk ibuprofen on an already irritated stomach.
