It has been so long since I used this title/format that this computer doesn't recognize the word in predictive text- and I got this computer in August.

I think I have decided that if I ever can afford to go back to school, the degree I want to pursue is Early Childhood Education, or the like.

Is there anybody local who is good at writing CVs who wouldn't mind assisting me? Yes, I am pretty sure that what I want is a CV- two, actually, for different things- rather than a resume, even though I am not going into an "academic or medical field".

There was a fourth item when I started writing this list, but I can't remember it now. If it comes back to me, I shall return and edit this post.

Oh yes.

I have now read The Harafish and Palace Walk, both by Naguib Mahfouz. I definitely have a list of some of his other works I'd like to read, including the rest of the Cairo Trilogy. But what other Arabic authors should I be reading? I mean specifically fiction- novels, short stories, poetry, etc. Recommend me a reading list!

Arabic novels: Ghassan Kanafani. Looooove him. Specifically, "Men in the Sun." I'll go through my books when I'm done with finals and recommend a few more.
