Jun. 22nd, 2003 01:19 pmSo I decided to go look up the word "meme" (see previous post) because for some reason it struck me that perhaps that word wasn't being used quite right on lj. But I guess after reading and rereading the definitions that I found, I guess they do pretty much describe the stuff that floats around here. I'm really guilty of this "meme" issue, if nobody has been able to pick up on that. For some reason I get very high levels of amusement out of taking those quizzes. But I guess the one I have trouble understanding is the one where you post comments for people on your friends list, leaving them to sort out if they're on the list and if so, which comment is for them (thanks and much admiration to
foxmagic for actually filling it out for all one hundred and fifty four people!). I've seen several people on my friend's list do it so far, and I'm so paranoid about what is being said about me. Am I the only psycho with this problem? Probably. I can pick out some things I hope are about me, but then I feel presumptuous, cos of course, they're always very positive things. What if I'm the one where they are saying "you are selfish and self-centered and you're going to start losing friends if you're not nicer to people"? Eeeeep!
