There are some days that I am absolutely in love with Johannes Brahms.

Brahms was a pretty sexy guy when he was young, before he got fat and grew the beard.

Musically, though, give me Haydn over Brahms any day.

Brahms didn't wear socks, and propositioned women just for the hell of it.

For some unfathomable reason I get a big kick out of that.

Wagner trumps Brahms, though. Wagner couldn't compose unless "dressed entirely in silk."

Brahms made a nice spectacle of his rival by having that little tidbit (along with the receipts) printed in a local newspaper. :)

I'm thinking of naming my firstborn son Johannes.

Do you think he'd get teased in kindergarten?

Oh, probably just as much as a kindergartener named "Wolfgang." Or "Gustav."
