violachicIsrael looks to expand barrier
Sometimes it feels as if the fight for justice is futile. But I suppose one has to remember how bad it could be if no one was fighting at all.
The picture of the "separation barrier" in this icon was taken in Bethlehem a little over two years ago. The gap showing has long since been closed. There are exactly two ways to get in and out of this ancient and holy city. Tourists can do it- if they want the hassle. Palestinians are either not allowed in to the city, or, if they are Bethlehem residents, not allowed out.
I wish I could take everybody over there and show them what's going on. I really do.
