Yeah, me too.
It is so strange how, just when I've given up trying for anything, such wonderful things just fall in my lap.
This morning was Youth Sunday at church. Being a youth leader, I had a lot of responsibility for getting it together. It went really well, and I'm very proud of all the kids for doing their part. They're very mature, profound young people. After church I got all sorts of compliments on my leadership, organizational and speaking skills.
Me?
Leadership, organizational and speaking skills?!?
Who knew?
I am very nervously awaiting the arrival of someone who has very quickly become very dear to me. My fingernails will be nubs by Tuesday afternoon, and my heart rate is increasing exponentially as I wait. I hope the next day and a half just fly by! I'm not sure I can take this whole waiting thing....
Those are just two examples for today.
I am tired. Two and a half week of insomnia is doing strange things to my mind and body. I am exhausted but can not sleep more than three or four hours at a time. My body hurts. Hopefully I will get some sleep the next two nights and be nice and chipper and alert by Tuesday.
I am going to take a hot bath.
*poof* I'm gone
