I work with Christian Peacemaker Teams (http://www.cpt.org), and have made a two-week trip and a two-month stay there so far. When I am healthy again I will go back, probably for three months.

I hope you will be well enough to go again soon. The Jaffa Gate was awesome too. Such a narrow passage. I could not tell if those are shops on both sides or homes.

They're shops. Most of the shops in the Old City are like that. They're actually like little caves, almost, built into the stones around them, and have those green metal doors down when they're closed. I took that picture on a whim, and had no idea how stunning it turned out until I uploaded it to my computer and saw it at full size. Its one of my favorites :-)
