Jul. 31st, 2006 04:38 pmI have no good way of introducing this, except to use the tagline my friend used when linking to her blogspot that chronicles her time in Palestine:
Feeling depressed? Sick of violence in the middle east? Ya'll gotta check out The Cows of Beit Sahour!
Its funny, I promise.
**EDIT: By the way, for the uninitiated, "Beit Sahour" is also known as "Shepherd's Field", which is the area just outside Bethlehem where the angels reportedly appeared the shepherds as they were "tending their flock by night" (which is a total hole in the plot line, because even Beduin shepherds sleep at night, they don't do any flock tending). I know "Beit" in Arabic is "house", but I'm not sure what "Sahour" is, but its not directly translated into "Shepherd's Field" because Beit Sahour was there long before any angels appeared there. Just your Trivia Of The Day, folks.**
