subdermalglow and priestlygoth are taking him to the kitty emergency room tonight. He is a decidedly unhappy camper.

We're really hoping its not that thing where cats get crystals in the urethra, which I know has been a trial for several cats I've known. Larry thinks he's constipated. We'll see in the morning.

she breeds Servils, one of them got something stuck in her digestive tract and went into septic shock... :-(

Sorry to hear that!! Lokie had that crystal deal. The vet told us "he should drink more water". She was not clear on you get a cat do to ANYTHING he doesn't think of on his own, but we found that the juice from a can of tuna added to a (separate) bowl of water did wonders.

You can also encourage them to drink by getting a foutain. Here's ours. I also give him supplements (http://www.vetriscience.com/ut-strength-cats.php). Sergei went through it really bad and also has FIV (http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/resources/brochure/fiv.html) and is the love of our life, so we take extreme measures for him, I think.
