Your post really made me smile. Beethoven is my mother's favorite composer, and she used to bake a cake -- or free-form bread in the shape of a staff with the famous opening notes of the 5th Symphony -- on his birthday.
I don't know if you heard, since you've been otherwise involved in real life events elsewhere, but scientists at Argonne Labs recently confirmed that Beethoven suffered/died from lead poisoning. Google "beethoven lead poisoning" and you'll find oodles of articles.
I did, hear, thanks! I think Beethoven usually qualifies as my favorite over-all composer- although I'm not sure I'd go so far as to bake free-form bread....
