Dec. 13th, 2002 01:34 pmHAPPY BIRTHDAY
dust_wind_dude!!!!!
Ahem..... so....anyway....
Yes, after this weekend I should be able to breathe again. This is the busiest Christmas season I have had in a long time, but I can't say I'm not enjoying it, even though I feel like I'm doing a lot of bitching about it. The whole Nutcracker/ex-boyfriend's family thing was a little weird, but for the most part I've been having a fair amount of fun. Went on mini-tour with the Pops orchestra last weekend. I really like playing with that group and for that conductor. I know most of the people fairly well, and I feel really at home there. Hopefully I will get my check from them SOOOOON!!! Although I will never again fall to the folly of trying to schedule a student recital during the Christmas season. It is driving me and everyone else nuts trying to get it all put together. Thankfully it will be over tomorrow, for good or for bad. I do think it will be good, though, not bad.
I hope to see a whole bunch of you at Ben's for the Christmas party tomorrow night! If you are reading this, you are invited, so I hope nobody feels left out. I am hoping
unhappymeal will join us as well.
Missing
pinkfluffyjumpr and
legendofthehawk like crazy this holiday season.
Hannukah passed relatively mellow-ly. Solstice is next weekend. Then Christmas. Then Kwanzaa. That's a lot of candles. Yay for candles!
Gotta go. Hafta make 90 violin-shaped cookies before tomorrow's recital. Yeah- that means I'm not going anywhere tonight except
the kitchen. WOOHOO!
Ooh! Ooh! Wait! I almost forgot!
p.s. Marta and I and our family are looking into going to a kitchen or homeless shelter to serve Christmas dinner on Christmas day. I would love it if any of you would care to join us. We'll look into it and maybe have more info by tomorrow night.
