If you can get out tomorrow, please do so. I'd give a more impassioned speech than that, but 1)I'm so exhausted, and 2)if you don't know how I feel about it already, you haven't been paying attention.
man, i hate the communists. follow the money! who pays for these organized events. i remember when it was considered a "bad" thing to be a communist. now it's as cool as ice cream. i watched it on the news and felt the urge to spend more money on education. we've obviously fucked up big time in this department.
I posted this to piddyx's journal as a response, none of you seem to list your email addresses, hence I had no choice. What is factually incorrect, please correct. All else deserves a response I feel.
And for the record, yes I am very disappointed.
"I find it immensely regrettable that you, and I am presuming it was you, chose to ban me from 3faithdialogue on the grounds of my most recent post. You clearly have no understanding of who or what I am or what I am for and neither did you bother to ask.
To make it clear, I joined that group on the basis that I would learn and inform. Though you may consider it an arrogant statement, the fact remains that with a first degree in Theology and a published worked of Comparative Theology I am in a better place to judge whether I am 'in line' or 'out of line'.
I enjoyed reading the comments in the community and enjoyed asking lots of complicated questions about others' faiths, that is what dialogue is, its what the stem of the word denotes.
There was no explanation other than my 'arguement was poorly thought out' (strange considering the number of intelligent responses I also received) and neither were my remarks deliberately inflammatory or condescending, this latter was decided for me.
The saddest saddest saddest part was that I was going to post an apology today to those whom I unwittingly offended and to restate the question without reference to political events/movements!!!!
The fact that this opportunity has been denied me is a good reflection of the true direction of certain of the members in the group.
I too moderate a group. Its fair, intelligent, modest and kind. I don't ban people after one post. In fact to date no one has been banned.
If it makes you feel good to be self-rigtheous then so be it but I at last expect to be given a warning.
Every person acts out of anger in their life and the nature in which you dealt with what you clearly see as an overstatement clearly defines what you think 'moderating' is about: Censorship.
