May. 6th, 2006 02:25 amOkay, so where do the nightmares fit in, in all this? Is it one of the meds? Is it because for some reason I'm not sleeping as deeply as usual? Is it stress? Pain?
Its really annoying.
They're mostly dreams where I realize I'm dreaming and something is weird in the dream, and then it gets scary when I try to wake up, but can't. A handful of times the dream itself has been fairly terrifying. Like the one earlier in the week where I was walking down a hall in an apartment- luckily one I've never seen before- that was supposed to be mine, and someone grabbed me by the back of the t-shirt, attacked me, and tried to wrap me in a tablecloth. Last night I had one where the dream itself wasn't particularly scary, but I had that phantom wake-up several times, and once during one I was banging something against the wall yelling "its not real, its not real, its not real!" until I actually did wake up, yelling.
At least I don't wake up my housemates when I yell. Or at least they say I don't. Kate would probably stay asleep if a marching band played in the middle of her bed, but Larry is more sensitive.
But this time, I decided I'd get up, and after eating an orange, surveying the latest picture-story-boards at
thesims2, and making this post, I think I'm ready to go back to bed.
