Phone has been located. Someone at church moved it into the office and left before I came back to look for it. I still can't get it until tomorrow, unfortunately. But I'm glad its been located- I was pretty attached to my sunflowers faceplate.

Woody, the newest member of the family, apparently had his voice box removed at some point before we got him. Since he was a shelter dog, there is no way to know if it was done on purpose, or a result of injury or illness. But he has a weird bark because of it. We've noticed some strange noises beginning to emanate from him recently, and we're figuring out that its just his way of communicating. Its similar to the noises a Basenji makes, or other dogs who aren't blessed with the gift of bark- lots of yodeling, and growling or almost purring at different pitches. Its very odd, but frankly, amusing.

[livejournal.com profile] subdermalglow: I called. I left a message. Haven't heard back. Are you happy now? Remind me to stick my tongue out at you next time I see you. But in the friendliest of ways, of course.

I've actually gotten two responses off of LavaLive since I put a profile up last night. I'm not really sure what to do about it because, to be honest, I didn't really expect any. In order to make initial contact with someone you have to pay, which I'm not going to do because I can't- and I'm not sure if I would if I could. But if someone really wants to contact me, I'll respond, and see what happens. I still can't believe I'm doing it. Its not exactly in line with my usual Modus Operandi, but maybe its time that changed. Eh?

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight (except Indiana and Arizona)! One hour ahead- we lose an hour tonight, but starting tomorrow we gain more daylight 'round about suppertime.

I found this whilst perusing the recent Northern Sun catalog and I really like it.

So every Christmas we get A Christmas Carol et al.

Every Easter we get Peter Cottontail or its pastel equivalent.

Is this the same logic that dictates that every February we get Roots, and every year at Passover we get The Chosen?

I'm not sure if I should be amused, frustrated or sad.

Why do we need a "season" to show films like this on TV?

No, really. I'm going to go accomplish something now. I swear.
