Okay. My alcohol tolerance officially sucks. I had one shot of Rumpleminze about forty minutes ago and I'm still a-spinnin' just a bit. Although I suppose I should just be happy that my stomach took it, what after the blackberry brandy incident and all.

pinkfluffyjumpr and I were going to head downtown to check out the World Music Festival open house at the Cultural Center, when we got the call that there were rumors circulating of a possible SarahBear sighting later that evening. So we had a quick change of plans, and headed over to Sal's Pizza Pub for karaoke and other libations.

And indeed, it was a libation-ous evening. That's not a word? It is now. We were all so excited to see legendofthehawk, who was back in town to see her BRAND NEW baby niece, Justice Michelle. And although not everyone we hoped were able to join us, we did have a very good time. In fact, I think there was only one person there who wasn't a livejournaler, and perhaps he could be persuaded into it? Who knows....

The highlight of the evening definitely had to be when legendofthehawk,pinkfluffyjumpr, bethypooh95, wildrose80, and I rocked out to "Bitch". Oh yeah........

Um...... I'm going to bed. I think. Maybe. Maybe not.

You know, there is a most definite difference between being drunk on hard liquor and being drunk on beer. I much MUCH prefer the former. I really miss the former. I hope I can teach my stomach to take it again. I'd rather spend my nights out doing shots than drinking icky beer. And I'd rather be drunk on shots than icky beer.

So a couple times I have posted poetry in chicagopoets, for feedback and stuff. I've had some nice comments, and some very helpful comments. But sometime today, somebody simply wrote "There is something about this poem I don't like". Ummm.... okay. You're entitled. I've never said I was trying to get everyone to like what I write. But is it really worth either of our time for you to be an asshole about it? Seems quite immature. Part of me wants to give him what for, but since I'm a chicken, I probably won't. Which is probably a good thing.



The DMV seems intent on giving me the mindfuck of the decade. So far I've been told three different things, and that's after I went to two different facilities and called yet a third. Now I am on the phone with the main Chicago facility, and have been on hold for about half an hour. In the spirit of Talk Like a Pirate Day, I will say aaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
