At the meetup on Tuesday night, several people were discussing the Abbie Hoffman Film Festival, that I believe is happening this weekend. I'm really interested in going, but I can't seem to find any information on the internet about it. Does anyone have the info on where it is, what times, any fee if applicable, etc? I can't go tonight, but I'd love to check it out tomorrow and/or Sunday.

Thanks!

A violist was hiking in the mountains, and he came upon a shepherd who was tending a large herd of sheep that were grazing in the alpine meadow. The violist took a fancy to the sheep, and asked the shepherd: "If I can guess how many sheep you have, can I have one?"

The shepherd thought this was an odd request, but thought that there was little chance that the man would guess the exact number of sheep, so he said "Sure."

The violist guessed "You have 287 sheep," to the shepherd's astonishment, since this was exactly how many sheep he had.

The violist got all excited and asked "Can I pick out my sheep now?" and the shepherd grudgingly gave his permission. The violist selected his sheep, bent over, and swung the sheep over his shoulders, to carry home with him.

The shepherd then got an idea and asked "If I guess what your occupation is, can I have my sheep back?" The violist was a bit surprised by this, but figured that it was unlikely that the shepherd would be able to guess his occupation, and went along with the deal. The shepherd then guessed "You're a violist, aren't you?"

The violist was very surprised and asked, "How did you know?"

The shepherd responded, "Put the dog down and we'll talk about it."

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is on TV right now. The original animated version, not the scary-looking Jim Carrey version.

I had to have my picture taken today. Its a real pain in the ass to blow-dry and curl hair, put make-up on and iron things when its goddamned hot out. Hopefully I'll like the outcome of the picture well enough that I can finally have one to send people. Dressing up is a pain in the ass. Did I mention that?

My AIM has the habit of launching itself out of nowhere, usually in the middle of the night, but sometimes during the day. Now my yahoo messenger seems to be doing the same thing. If I appear on your buddy list (*cough*vlagirl1*cough*)and don't say anything, or I don't respond, it probably isn't because you ate garlic for dinner.

Is anyone interested in driving to Springfield with me on August 17th? I have a 5:00 sound check, 7:00 concert which should be done by about 8:30. I'd love to try to go down a few hours early to spend some time at the fair before we play, but it is hardly requisite. Actually, if you drive I'll buy you a fried snickers, cos I'm really afraid my temperamental cavalier just won't make it.

I need to go clean my room. *cue Mission: Impossible theme* I anticipate it being a full three hours of "hey, I've been looking for that!"

Karen- I did get your email, and I haven't forgotten about you. I am searching for some CDs that I may find as I wade through my bedroom tonight. Thank you for the links, they are wonderful!

Two fish were in their tank. One turns to the other and says, "You man the guns, I'll drive."
