There are reports of American military bombing Iraqi artillery. MSN article here. Does this mean the war has officially begun?

Does this mean that here in Chicago and suburbs that we should assume we should report to our emergency response protest positions at 5:00?

It has begun. Officially.

I have a lot of strong opinions on politics, especially current politics. Most of my friends know this. I have some friends who agree with me, and some who don't. I've noticed that we've all done a really good job of respecting each other's positions and not getting into heated debates that could potentially end beautiful friendships, and I'm thankful for that. So out of respect for those who don't agree with me, I've decided to put Amy's Rant du Jour behind an LJ cut. If you know what my feelings are and don't want to be subjected to them, feel free to skim right past this. However, if you 1)know my position and agree with me, 2)don't know my position and are curious, or 3)Know my position, disagree and want to read it anyway, then read onward. But this is MY journal and they are MY feelings, and therefore valid. Don't read it, then get all pissed at me and try to goad me into a huge debate, cuz I'm not gonna bite. :-D
