Christmas List

What I want for Christmas- present and future:

 

• World Peace (oh come on, you saw that coming- I thought I'd just get it over with)
• That no one should be alone tonight
• A White Christmas (check!!!!)
• Friends, family and good cheer (check)
• Pie and liquor (check)
• Descants on my Christmas carols (check) (oh yes, I intend to hit that high B tonight, yes, baby, I do!)
• Someday, I'd like to have a family with our new traditions, all dressed up in pretty clothes, going to church on Christmas eve, and sitting on the couch reading "The Night Before Christmas" and "The Littlest Angel" before bed
• A chicken in every pot
• The look in someone's eyes when you realize you've just made their day
• Red hair (check)
• Hope, Love, Peace and Joy

Y'know, that could technically be misconstrued. Perhaps peace on earth would mean every single human being would die, because there is no way that humanity can live in peace. We all have too many differences in cultures, creeds, religions, opinions, politics, too many things to fight over, too many different ideals of what life should be like, too many ideals on what people should be like. Not only is peace on earth pretty much impossible, I think it'd be pretty fucking boring.

But yes, I am a pacifist, for the record. I just don't think it's possible for humanity to exist in peace. Hope I haven't depressed you too much.

a white christmas. that is so not fair! the closest we have ever come is about 1/2 inch of icey snow that was melted before the day was over. its currently 60 degrees and was sunny all day. ahh the joys of north carolina!

Any other day of the year I'd LOVE to have your weather! Actually, more often than not in Chicago, we don't have a White Christmas, so its kind of nice to have snow on the ground, even if its barely an inch.
