I hate driving in the snow.

Even though its a really pretty sparkly snow. There was probably a good inch on the ground here in the 'burbs when I got home. Luckily, I got all the green lights coming down Roosevelt Rd, so it didn't take me forever to get home. Muchas gracias to dear

pheret1 for teaching me the finer points of driving stick-shift, including running high in the gear during slippery driving, and braking by downshifting. Yay! In my book, the only real plus of driving stick. I <3 automatic!

Would anyone in the Chicago area be interested in going to see the Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo? I guess it runs Thursday through Sundays for about the next three weeks. I was thinking that this Sunday might be a good day. Admission is free, you just have to figure out how to get there without paying a zillion dollars to park. Who's in for it?

Meetup was awesome tonight. Even though I missed making connection with

legendofthehawk, and was sad that

shorah wasn't in town to share it with us. I met several new people, who I will probably add tomorrow cos I'm too tired and lazy right now, and got to know several others better.

mattwolff is my new best friend because he gives back rubs and he works at Borders.
