I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journal, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

i have only had my hair cut by a professional once in my life. that was when i was 14 and i was in a play where i played a flapper. i tried to cut off the front by myself, figuring that we could tuck the rest under, but i needed to have the results corrected by someone who knew what they were doing. and then they put me in a wig anyway!

I actually am really fond of spinach. :) I have been ever since I was a child, so it's not just a recent development just because I went vegan this year. My family always thought it really odd - I was the only kid in the family who would happily eat things like spinach, brussels sprouts, cabbage, beets, etc.

My name is Donia and I am unemployed. I hope the next time you see me, I will have a job. I love food. I will eat almost anything except liver. I hate liver. I had to eat liver every Thursday night for the first 10 years of my life because my dad loved it.

He bowled as part of a league on Thursdays. He claimed that liver strengthened his ability as a championship bowler. I never understood why he made the whole family suffer through my mom's dry, chalky liver when none of us bowled.

I used to eat all of the other food on my plate and eat the liver last. I would chew it up and hold it in my mouth until my dad left the table. Then, I would take my empty plate into the kitchen, put it in the sink and spit the liver behind the refridgerator, so no one would know that I didn't eat it. The rotting liver behind the fridge made the house stink. Boy, was I punished when the liver was finally discovered.

I hate liver too, but I can't say I've ever done anything so... unique... with it. Once, I put it in my glass of milk, but that didn't work because when I was forced to finish my milk (I hate milk, too), I was found out.

Sorry to hear that you've been punched in the gut by this economy, too. I hope we both find something soon. I like my warm apartment and eating way too much. My first pet was a white cat named Henry. He passed away unexpectedly when I was in second grade, and ever since then I've had trouble liking cats at all, even though I was devoted to him. Only recently have I realized that I do like cats...it's just that I've been hanging onto this feeling that no other cat in the world could be remotely as perfect as him.

Of course, this has yet to be disproven, but I'm willing to have cats again.

I love raisins, especially the ones my family makes, but I hate them in anything, so no raisin oatmeal cookies for me. Instead, if you ever have the desire to bake cookies and send them to Idaho for me, please use dried cranberries. I love those in anything.

I thought I was all unique with that until watching Will and Grace and Harry Connick Jr's character had the same raisin like/dislike.

Still kinda pisses me off.
