LJ ate my post last night, so I took a deep breath, counted to 7,546,297 and tried again....

Who rocks? polyfrog rocks, that's who. We got pinkfluffyjumpr about 90% moved into her new place this weekend, and we couldn't have done it without the master truck packer himself. I am amazed at how fast and easy moving out and moving in was. polyfrog gets a Triple Word Score for a)helping b)helping at the last minute, and c)volunteering to help. All we need now is to get hellfaerie's apartment sublet, and it'll all be awesome. So if you're in Chicago and want an apartment, talk to her.

I'm getting hooked on VH1's I Love the 80's. Its very kind of them to offer such programming that will let me know exactly what went on during my childhood. I'm still trying to catch up with pop culture from the late 70's, I'm not sure how far I'll get into the 80's, but I think its a valiant attempt on the part of VH1 programmers.

I have a new toy that I installed on my laptop last week. Waxing so rhapsodic about it is going to gain me massive Geek Points, but I suppose since I don't game or worship Bruce Campbell I'm sort of behind most of the people I hang out with anyway ;) But its this scale program- of the musical variety, not the fishy or poundage varieties- where you choose your key, your clef, and how many octaves. It then displays the music on the screen, and plays them back to you at whatever speed you choose, allowing you to play along with it and see if you're in tune or not. So I have it on my laptop, and I can't wait to start bringing it into lessons to work with the kids. And I'm sure it won't do me any harm to play around with it myself.

Hey- I literally JUST found a picture of our Lutheran Youth Organization board, from our Thanksgiving weekend event. Its funny how you ask me about Phil, then as I'm looking for something else entirely, out pops this picture. Wow, that picture is ten years old now. Sheesh. Time flies.
