Tomorrow I am going to:

-Drive [livejournal.com profile] bethypooh95 to traffic court
-Go downtown and put my application in at the Symphony Store and make them hire me
-Attend a protest/solidarity march
-Head up to Leona's on Sheridan Rd (Is that off a red line stop? Which one?) to dine with LJers and other miscellaneous people.

I'm going to have some down time in the loop tomorrow, probably between around 2:30-ish till about 4:30. Is anyone interested in meeting me for coffee or a late lunch sometime in that period? I'll check back later tonight and again tomorrow morning before I leave to see if there are any takers. Or, if you know my #, call me tonight before 11.

I splurged tonight, and bought one more pair of pants and a pair of autumn/winter shoes. I'm thinking I have to buy more clothing at Old Navy. Amazingly comfortable pants, and the fit is absolutely perfect. Yay! Now I have two good pairs of pants and two backup pairs of jeans I can wear. My goal is one more pair of jeans for sure, and if I'm feeling rich in the next month or so, another pair of khakis or something.

Speaking of which- my good jeans are WAY too big for me. I tried washing them in hot and putting them in the dryer, but that didn't seem to shrink them. Any advice? They're this 95% cotton/5% spandex mix, which I really hate and will never buy again, but they look decent, and they're not falling apart yet, so I need to wear them. I just wish they were smaller.

Um.

Yeah.

I know we've only met at the Grant Park screening, but I'll be rehearsing till 2:30 tomorrow at the opera house. I'd be glad to meet up for lunch.

Well, near the opera house, there's a Giordano's on Randolph (I've been having a pepperoni pizza craving lately), Monk's Pub (yummy burgers & nice atmosphere) on Lake, Potbelly Sandwich Works on Wacker and Randolph, and Corner Bakery, Panda Express, and Au Bon Pain on Washington and Wells.

Of course, we don't have to eat near the opera house, but since those are my stomping grounds, that's what I know. What do you think?

Actually, Giordano's sounds really good. As soon as I read the words "pepperoni pizza craving" I got one too. Randolph and what? I'm not sure how long its going to take at the Symphony Store, but I don't see any reason why I can't be there by three at the absolute latest. Good deal? :-)

Sounds good to me! Yay pepperoni pizza!

Giordano's is 310 W. Randolph, between Wacker and Franklin. See you around 3.

leona's on sheridan road - you mean at sheridan and farwell? i would take the 147 north from downtownish. it will take a while but it will drop you right there. otherwise it's not too far from the morse redline stop - a copule blocks south and east.

That's it. Thanks, that helps a lot. Do you want to meet us? We're not meeting till 9, so I know that's late for people who get up early, but you're more than welcome to join us.

i can't, for many reasons... too late, must practice dance, have no money... yah.

check the cta website about how late the 147 runs - i think the new lakeshore service means it does run that late now, but it didn't always, so look to be sure.

Well, I did some research, and I can probably take the 147 up there, and take the red line back. I have to transfer to the blue line anyway, to get back to my car so the el is probably the best way to get home. Thanks for the info!

I might be confused here, but why would you take a bus when you could take the redline?!?

Because the 147 goes closer to where she's going and runs express from Michigan to Foster, unlike the red line.

I despise waiting for the bus and love walking, but thats me. Its a bit faster to take the train at most times but not so much that if one prefers waiting as opposed to walking that one should take the train instead.
