Sep. 3rd, 2003 05:55 pmOkay. So.
pheret1 already makes fun of me when I get excited about gas prices dropping. But I'm not going to let that thwart my compulsion to come on LiveJournal and wax rhapsodic about shopping at Aldi.
I got enough food for at least a weeks worth of lunches and dinners, plus some snacks and a treat for $25. I'm never shopping elsewhere again. I'm not sure if it was the 33-cent deli meat, or the 89-cent frozen dinners, but frankly, I'm hooked.

They had a circular saw for $39 buck last month that I really got excited over.
I like heavy machinery...

I worry about Aldi......and I hope you dont get sick......but maybe that's cause I've only ever been to the one in Jacksonville, and it's GROSS!!!!!

Date: 2003-09-04 09:48 am (UTC)You might also check out Trader Joe's. They never have things on sale and carry only certain things, so their prices are pretty low. Their house-brand food is often organic, and some things are cheaper every day than even when on sale at Jewel. (Example: Hebrew National hot dogs: On sale for $3.99 at Jewel, while normall under $3 at TJ's.)
