I've heard that one. But I love it. Muahahahahahaha.

By the way, the irony of dusty_miller's handle is quite striking, as that was my "maiden" name before I got married. So tell her that if she gets random messages from Goshen College alums on LJ, pass 'em along to me. :)

I think my mother is going to retire to Goshen.

Its been narrowed down between Greencroft and whatever it is at North Manchester.... at Greencroft she can keep her cat. She checked out the Quakers in Richmond, too, but didn't so much like it.

Sorry. Its a musician thing...... Philip Glass is a minimalist composer, which means he takes a small theme and uses it over and over in a pattern.

now what's even more funny is that i found it worthy of giggling for a theatre reason that relates to you...
there is a playwright i like a lot called david ives, who wrote such pearls as "variations on the death of trotsky" and "philladelphia" as well as "Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread" the last one beeing something i just read this morning.

it was fucking hillarious, you should read it.

I've heard of it, but I've never read/seen it. Maybe I'll check it out. I wonder if knowing more about Philip Glass would make it even funnier? He's currently really famous for doing the soundtrack to the movie The Hours, but its not entirely representational of his work.
