I hope I have not contributed to this. I am quite appalled by some of the rhetoric on all sides, but I also want to know about candidates, hence posting of articles and such... It's definitely time for a happy fun Not About US Politics post, though.
Okay, but first here's a quote for you: "Jesus was a community organizer. Pontius Pilate was a governor." (from a letter written in to the Diane Rehm Show)
I'm sure you think I have forgotten you, but I've finally settled down from the crazy summer of moving constantly. If you still want the books you put dibs on three months ago, I've got them (except "Philosphy And Sex," which seems to have disappeared in one of the moves). Let me know if you want me to bring them to you or if you would like to get them from me or we can meet somewhere. It's entirely up to you.
Its not a big deal, just me being grumpy. I'm just sick of hearing about it. I always hate the wank around presidential campaigns, but this year seems to the be wankiest ever. So I'm just going to scroll on by any mention of her :-)
Ah i see. It was good seeing you on Wednesday. I'll call soon so we can figure out the car drop off next Thursday. I'll make sure she's got a full tank!
Actually, I forgot all about the books, but I'm happy to take them. Either way works for me. I'm kind of crazy busy until after the 14th, is it okay to postpone the hand-off a little while longer? I'm really glad you're finally in a decent place, too- the whole Heavy debacle sounded awful.
(Which might look at first glance like a bunch of old jokes, but also includes links to some awesome stuff (like Paganini!) and a bunch of personal anecdotes.)
But she's a woman! And a VP candidate! That means she's all historical and stuff! Also, forget about the name "Geraldine Ferraro", who was a VP candidate for the other side two decades ago and more. But Palin's the historical one! Really!
i most heartily apologize for my part in this. if i am so stupid as to pay any further attention enough to post again, i'll try to remember to put it behind a cut. with warnings. and stuff.
I have no problem waiting until your schedule is a bit less hectic; just let me know when you have some free time and I'll drop the books off to you. My e-mail is doniacl@yahoo.com. My three weeks with Heavy were not something I care to repeat, but it was interesting nonetheless. The best part of the whole situation is that it's over and I'm finally in a mellow place.
