Wow, At-Tuwani made an AlterNet article!

Susia is a village a few kilometers from Tuwani. It is under similar threats of violence as Tuwani and their neighbors. It is a small, ancient village where the farmers and shepherds and their families once lived in the naturally-occurring caves, much like Tuwani. Unlike Tuwani, whose inhabitants built first stone and then concrete house, Susia's now mostly live in tents.

Susia hit international news last month when the BBC first reported the attack. Ha'aretz Daily News reported it two days later.

What the BBC article doesn't make clear, however, is that the area the Palestinians were ordered to leave was their own.

If you are not faint-hearted, you can watch the video here, on YouTube. I don't recommend it, but it is there. But if you do, please PLEASE don't read the comments. They are horrible, from all sides. It is a huge shame, because I fear they may help to delegitimize the very purpose of taking and posting the video to begin with.

I don't have much of a point to this beyond just saying it. I hope Joy will have something to say about all this, too.
