Am I a bad person because I'm glad that someone died?

No, that's not the reason you're a bad person.

Well there are lots of reasons to be glad someone dies -- like if someone has been suffering for a while. So taken at face value especially,no.=hhh;j

That bit was from Ted. The last bit.

I think it's wrong to pretend that you're unhappy or to try and make excuses for someone who was a half step up from a Nazi. He existed with a frighteningly narrow mindset and America might be a better place if he'd headed off into the sunset a little sooner. That said, he died in a nursing home with dementia, and there's no way I couldn't feel pity and sadness at such an end.

Nah. When I read the news on Friday morning I said to myself, "Finally! About time that hateful old bastard died."

:) No, I think you're a sane person because of it.

I think the most appropriate time to celebrate his passing was when he left congress. As soon as he retired, he was no longer in a position to do us you and I any harm.

Being glad that someone has died isn't that far from wishing someone dead. And that's the sort of thing the bad guys revel in. Whetehr or not you're wa bad person, be careful you don't get seduced by the dark side.

I can't say I'm particularly upset by the death either, but I can see the point above about the fine line between being glad and wishing. Myself, I'm not too encouraged by it because there are plenty of people to take his place...

trying again...
