According to the Today show online, Amy was the fifth most common female baby name in the 1970s.

Or how it is totally unsurprising that Jennifer was the #1 name that decade. Jennifer Lynn seemed to be a popular first/middle name combo, too.

Yeah, pretty much every other Amy I know is Amy Elizabeth, too. My sister got that middle name, so I am Amy Marie.

Well I was going to be a Nancy, but instead I got the #4 name for the '60s.

Somewhere on the internets is a tool that displays the popularity of names over time as a chart. It's pretty cool.
