I don't like it when I read your posts.

Daylight savings coming to you means we're about to lose it! NOT HAPPY at all about that, I want it to stay warm, light and summer all year round.

Surely, not too much to ask!?

I know... I'm just not thrilled as I wonder why and how the hell this was done!

Hey, was thinking of you... when do you visit Peanut and Laura? I'm off Wed & Thurs.

I wasn't aware....I just wait for someone to say that we set the clocks next week and that's good enough for me. that's all a bunch of hooey anywho. Just another clever scheme for the man to take our money.

I'm just laughing my ass off right now.

Indiana just switched to doing DST last year. That was one of my favorite things about this damn state...we didn't ever change the clocks back! Now it's all ridiculous...half the state goes Central time and half the state goes Eastern, except a bunch of little farm towns that were like "hell no, we don't even use clocks, we're not changing the time just because the governor said so!"

Don't feel bad, I didn't know about it until a couple weeks back when [livejournal.com profile] thebruce posted about it. He works with computers.

I've been in DST hell at $BEER, as it affects Outlook users (read: everyone) and Blackberry users (read: 20% of all employees). Everyone is scheduled to be working properly...Friday, which cuts it really damn close.

Should the People Playing Along At Home be worried about doing anything to their computers, et al?

microsoft has put out a patch, which you've probably already received if you have windows update set to run automatically. if not, you can go to their website to grab it...it's mostly harmless for the at home players ;)

After a very unfortunate experience at work a couple years ago when my browser got hijacked, I make a point of keeping my own computer set to update automatically. I should be all good, then :-)

I hate how people always say we get an "extra hour of daylight". CHANGING THE CLOCKS DOES NOT AFFECT THE EARTH'S ROTATION! Er, ahem.
