priestlygoth) is right now on the sidewalk discussing heavy theology with three sweet young things who have come from Hammond, Indiana to Witness to the denizens of Chicago.
He answered the door, and I heard them making the opening spiel. The spokeswoman asked Larry if he was a Christian. Larry responded, amusedly, "well, I'm a pastor...."
She then went on to say, "Well, since you're a pastor and all I'm sure I don't need to ask this, but.... are you certain that when you die you will go to heaven?"
At that point, I scarpered, and Larry went outside- not inviting them in, mind you- to discuss things.
Who do you think it is that is going to end up getting "witnessed" to today?

Had I had the capacity to realize that, I would've questioned them as to why they were trying to lure me into their spell with their blinkless eyes, instead of attending services. Unless, of course, they attended 6am services and dedicated the rest of the day to finding me and trying to make me join their bald-headed parish. And they were bald. Once by choice, and one just by age.
I honestly believe to this day they were robots.

"Witnessing" basically means evangelizing, and is a word that a lot of evangelical and conservative Christians use in general for going around and telling people they're going to hell. Er, I mean, asking people if they've accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
