ragbag.....
Mar. 10th, 2003 11:19 pmBits and pieces of random thought:
WAY congratulations to
wildrose80 for your new job! WOOHOO!! I love ya!
I am missing, in large proportions,
pinkfluffyjumpr and
legendofthehawk. (For anyone else who is offended that I didn't say I missed you, move 3,000 miles away and I will give you a special spot on my "missing you" shelf....)
Got to go have a chat with my Border's Buddies, Josh and Eddie, tonight. Yay.
Something that seemed extraordinary to me from yesterday: So it was my church's turn to host PADS last night. Its turned into a continuing service project for the youth group, of whom I am actually in charge. Scary thought, eh? Anyway, I am just so damned proud of those kids. They're so cool! They served the guests with a smile, and when they were done serving, sat down and ate at the tables with everyone. If they felt uncomfortable or weird amongst all the homeless people, they gave no indication. It wasn't like, condescending or fake, it just...was. They have true class.
PeeWee the ancient cat is doing very poorly. He is super skinny, and doesn't appear to be eating. He walks badly, stumbling and limping. I am afraid his time may be on the horizon. Which I suppose is only fair- he's got to be at least 18 years old, and got hit by a car about ten years ago. He's had a good, long life. I hate the idea of one day just scooping him up and taking him in and killing him, but I also hate to think that he'll linger around in true pain. Unless he shows marked improvement, we may have to make a family decision about him as soon as this weekend. Makes me so sad!!
Well, I can't leave on such a note, so...what else can I pull out of the bottom of the bag? Hmm...hmmm....
Oh yes- tonight,
pheret1 purchased the entire "Evil Dead" trilogy at Border's on DVD, including a limited edition of Evil Dead I, and a director's cut of "Army of Darkness". I'm sure I would be way more excited if I really knew anything about these movies, but I'm excited she's excited.
I bought a discman.
*poof* I'm gone!
