violachicIn conversation with mom this past weekend, we somehow touched on the topic of college and grades- I don't remember how or why.
And she said to me, rather nonchalantly, "You were so hard on yourself about grades (at which point I almost killed her), but I guess I shouldn't have let you think straight As were the only acceptable thing. I didn't get straight As in school, ever, so I guess I shouldn't led you to believe I had".
Whoa. Talk about rewriting history.
To borrow a phrase, I considered this a *headdesk* moment.
