For those in the Chicago area looking for an organization to latch onto:
The DuPage Peace through Justice coalition meets the second Sunday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. (I believe) at my church in Lombard. It is an interfaith/non-faith group involving people from every corner of the earth, every faith, every political affiliation, etc... That means the next meeting is on Sunday, February 9th, although according to the web site there is a discussion group happening tomorrow evening as well. I haven't been to a meeting in a long time, but I plan to start going again as regularly as possible in memory of a friend, mentor and peacemaker who recently passed away.
