I'll make a post later about the festival we went to yesterday, that will also feature pictures. But for now, I want to post the ones I took on Friday night on my way home from dinner with pam, spot, and the Artist Formerly Known as _narcissis_. I was really excited at how they turned out.

What a hoot. I think they capture the sense of the intersection pretty well.

You do know that I lived next to that intersection for years, right? Above the dental office next to the gay Western bar. My and my housemate and a series of additional flatmates. Until the fire.

I can't remember the name of it, but it was right next to the parking lot for the diner. It may be gone, now. The dental center's still there, though (I think).

The fire was when some crackheads (we think) tried to burn down the bar by setting fire to the back door. Our building was made of wood and sustained more damage. We had to move out so the landlord could repair the place. This was in 1995, during the last full weekend in August.
