Nov. 4th, 2008 07:25 amSo kids, I'm off to vote. I hope you are, too.
I'm voting, because I believe there is an enormous difference between the candidates, and I believe there is an enormous difference between what the candidates will do for our country, and for the world. I'm voting for Obama, if that is any surprise to any of you. I don't believe he is the messiah, I don't care for all of his policies, and I'm sad that he has backpedaled from some of the things he said when he was running for US Senate four years ago. But I firmly believe he will do better things than McCain- and truly, my vote is also a vote against Sarah Palin.
But in honor of who Obama used to be, today I'm reading a Rashid Khalidi book about Palestine.
I just looked out my window, and there doesn't appear to be much of a line outside the church, so perhaps I'll make it before work, after all.
Oh, and don't forget to vote for
2049live for President of Illinois!
