There are tons of changes happening right now in the Community of the Holy Trinity- or 'Nidgeans, or 'Nidgets, as some refer to us- this month.
- Clove (who is blogless, therefore I must always refer to her by her name), who is the fiancee of a good friend of the COH3, stayed with us as a guest for a few weeks, and then decided to join the community until her marriage in September. She now occupies what was once the guest room. She is a lovely addition to the community, and we're excited to have her with us as she and Daniel plan their wedding.
-
plethorax is in the process of moving out. She realized that she needs a space that is much quieter and less distractable than The 'Nidge while working on her graduate program. We are all sad about this, but she will still be involved in
Christ, Reconciler congregation, and, of course, will still be our dear friend. We've been honored to have lived with her in community for the last 20 months.
- We have at least two people (that I know of) who are in the process of discernment for joining the community. I wouldn't be surprised if by the time Katya is all moved out, there will be somebody ready to move in.
- We have a piano!
ahn1010,
plethorax, and The Artist Formerly Known as
_narcissis_ all accompanied me out to my father's house in the 'burbs and managed to somehow bring back a piano. It is badly in need of tuning, but I'm hoping that will be taken care of in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to making the music room really into the Music Room.
- I've had great improvement in my back in the last month or so. Even though I had to sacrifice a broken hand, I am grateful I discovered how much help the muscle relaxants are for it. I'm almost completely off narcotic painkillers, although I fear it will be quite some time yet before I'm ready to go down on my Lyrica dosages. I have much more energy, although I need to adapt to that so I don't get carried away and hurt myself.
- To that end, I have decided to take the plunge and take belly dancing classes at
The Old Town School of Folk Music. I don't know how much I can do, but I figure its the same as if someone came to the class and just couldn't dance. So tonight I will join
divalibby76 and
sleepykins, and we will give it a shot.
I think that sums it up nicely for now.
