Dec. 3rd, 2007

Dec. 3rd, 2007 11:26 pmSo for the first time in a couple years, I think I'm excited for Christmas. At the very least, I'm not dreading it, and not apathetic about it. On top of that, I am actually going to be able to give a few gifts this year. A very few- my family, and hopefully my housemates and a couple other people- so please, if you're not one of those folks who gets one, please don't feel as if I don't care. (Depending on the synapses that fire in my brain in the next few weeks, there may or may not be cards sent out.) True, much of those will be homemade (note to
histrogeek: no, I am not making sand candles), but I hope they will be homemade well. I am not yet giving away the secrets of what I am making on the chance that there is somebody reading this who will be receiving that thing.
Vague, huh?
But it is December 3rd (happy belated birthday to my darling Q,
ironheadjane, and happy birthday today to my intrepid kitty-corner neighbor,
themiddlestates, two fine, upstanding human beings I am privileged to know!), and I feel okay about the holidays. No international crises (at least not ones I'm personally involved with), and the medical issues are at least at a status quo. The last three weeks have been hectic, and even a little scary at times, but the scary is over, and things don't entirely suck.
Hey guys, things don't entirely suck. How 'bout that?
Oh, and The Peanut is cuter than ever, if that's possible.
Now, to get over my cold, and to stay over it until at least the middle of January!
