pheret1's post from yesterday on the idiocy of blaming the victim, I bring you this little piece of brilliance from Jack Straw:
Cabinet Minister Jack Straw has said he would prefer Muslim women not to wear veils which cover the face.
The Commons leader said he did not want to be "prescriptive" but he believed that covering people's faces could make community relations more difficult.
Yes. I can see how someone following the guidelines of modesty for their faith can hinder "community relations". Gee, I suppose its not like we should ever expect others to educate themselves and then respect the faith of others.
