Apr. 9th, 2004 02:12 amIt makes me want to scream when what is in my head doesn't translate to paper. Its frustrating enough with words, but at least then, I have a picture in my head and can turn it one way or another until it matches. But when it comes to music, there are specific pitches there that are supposed to be in a particular order at a particular time, and when my pencil can't keep up with what my brain is telling it, it makes me want to rip my hair out.
argh argh argh argh argh argh
bleurgh.
argh argh argh argh argh argh
bleurgh.

When I was a little kid and we'd hear the reading of the Passion in church on Palm Sunday, and talk about it all during Holy Week. There's the part in one of the gospels where there was a black cloud that came over the sun at noon, and lasted until three o'clock in the afternoon.
For some reason, as a kid, I always more-than-half expected that to happen every Good Friday. I'd kind of look over my shoulder skyward, with one skeptical eye on the sun, wondering when it would be blotted out. Its not as if I actually thought it would happen, or that I was afraid of it or would be frightened if it came. It just sort of... was.
Weird, eh?
