I've been trying really hard to keep my politics out of my personal journal, especially since I'm a member of quite a few communities for the express purpose of discussing politics, but this article really steamed me up.

Okay. So. Plan A is a wash, because:

1)I am now broker than your local lower-middle-class church mouse, and

2)No one wanted to go with me anyway.

This year at the Taste of Chicago's FREE concert at Grant Park (sponsored by WXRT Chicago's Finest Rock), the following acts are playing:

Pete Yorn
Shemekia Copeland
Guster, and
The Wallflowers.

I personally plan to be there. The concert starts at 2, but I'll probably go down early to get a spot. If you want to join me, leave me a comment, email me, or call me.

Hi. I made a new journal. I decided that I'd rather have any writing I do all in one place, so I made one.

It is called kalyopea.

I added all the individuals from this friend's list, plus the pertinent communities. Just because I added you to that friend's list doesn't mean you are obligated to add it back. One (very small, eensy weensy) reason I decided to do this is because I know not all of my friends are interested in poetry, whether written by myself or anyone else. I won't take offense if you don't want to read it.

If what I'm posting there seems really long, don't worry, I will LJ cut it. WARNING: Since this is a brand-new journal, I took a bunch of stuff from this journal and moved it over there tonight. That means there are already seven posts there. Just so you know.
