(no subject)

Ok. So. Nervous breakdown waning. Feeling a little better after 2 days of virtual silence and 11 hours straight of sleep. I love being at my mom's place- no ticking or dinging clocks, no dogs barking, no talk radio blaring... it is weary mind's haven. At least when she's not home ;) So, if anyone is still speaking ot me after my bitchy postings....here goes...
Mr. unhappymeal has reminded (grateful me!) me that I need to post HAPPY things on lj as well...so here goes.

Yesterday I went to Steak'n'Shake on my way home from church. Made me a very contented camper. Watched tons of movies by myself. Quite relaxing. And the thing that makes me the most happy right now... One week from today I will be boarding a bus with five high school kids from my church to go to National Youth Conference in Fort Collins, CO. Most of you probably think I'm insane, listing a wide variety of reasons why, but I'm super pumped about this. First of all, I LOVE to travel, especially by tour bus. Also, I did these kinds of trips in HS myself, and I'm excited to do it again, even though now I'm in charge. Jeez. I'm in charge. That's super scary. Does this mean I'm an adult now? Even though I probably will not get much sleep all week, and I'll constantly be having to count heads, I'm treating it as a vacation. Getting away, doing something different... also, I'm hoping being out there can help me solidify some decisions I'm trying to make about my future. I love working with kids, I just wonder if I can make a living doing it... hmmmm.... money? Who needs money? Money is overrated..... ha, yeah right, I'll keep telling myself that! Maybe it'll sink in. So aaaaaaaaanyway....yeah, happy news is that. It means one less week with Kelly before she takes of for the Great Dream Fufillment in England, but I will call in the middle of the week, 'k? Now I need to go take a shower and scrape up something to eat before I take off for rehearsal. Oh yeah.... since my two biggest fans are vacationing in Ann Arbor, Michigan, does anyone want my extra comp ticket to the concert I'm playing in Palatine Wednesday night? Starts at 7:30, I believe, at Harper College. Program is Grieg Piano concerto; Copland's El Salon Mexico; and Gershwin's An American in Paris. And I'll even buy you a drink afterwards. How much more fun can you have on a Wednesday night in the suburbs, I ask you? Peace out.
