Yes, so its 4:06 a.m., and I am sitting in [livejournal.com profile] love_alone's living room waiting till its time to catch the bus to the train station, so I can catch the train home.

My car didn't start tonight before we left for the movie. But since there would have been quite a few people inconvenienced if we had stopped to try to do something about it then (as it was, [livejournal.com profile] _narcissis_ had to bow out of the movie, for which I feel terrible), we went to the movie, then came back here and tackled the car issue.

I have one of those booster pack thingys, where if your battery dies you just hook that up to it and VOOM, its supposed to start. Well, it didn't.

So Q's mother was kind enough to pretend it was a car she was driving and we called her AAA number.

So the guy came out, and tried to start it.

It didn't work.

There is good news and there is bad news.

The bad news is, I need a new battery. I can't really afford to be out another $60, but its better than no car at all.

The good news is, the AAA guy who came out confirmed that it is, indeed, simply due to a really ancient battery.

The bad news is, I have to take the first train out to the 'burbs so I can get home and make sure mom's place is clean to her specifications when she gets back.

The good news is, I only have to hang around for about 45 more minutes before I can hop the bus,

The bad news is, I may have to walk home from the train once I get there.

The good news is, [livejournal.com profile] dust_wind_dude usually reads LJ before he leaves for work in the morning, and I may be able to coerce him into picking me up from the train and taking me home, as I will be chugging into the College Avenue station at 7:10, which is perfect timing seeing as I believe he has to be at work by 7:30.

Vinceypooh, if you do read this, and you think you may be able to help me out, check me on my cell, I'll have it on. If you don't catch this, or are unable to help me out, no biggie- you are still my White Knight in Residence!

(The Good News is, I have this "in" with a guy who works at an auto parts store who might be able to get me a discount on a battery!)

So yeah.

I plan on sleeping all day Friday, until mom gets home and yells at me for sleeping during the day. After that, and only after that, will I begin to formulate a plan on how to get a new battery into my car that is sitting on the street in a neighborhood in Chicago (luckily, it is not metered, nor is it permit parking, timed parking, or anything evil of that sort) that is thirty-five miles away from where it should normally reside.

Anyone who ever tries to say my life is boring has never tried driving my car.
