violachicI don't always see eye-to-eye with my mother. I've articulated that in this space on several occasions. She can be neurotic, anal-retentive, obsessive, and even bitchy. But for the most part, I am grateful for the way I was raised, and the person she is. Much of what are priorities for me were instilled by her pretty much from birth.
Music and education were top on her list- instead of buying us video game systems and having us turn into couch potatoes, we practiced our instruments and ran around outside like little barbarians. She gave us a sense of curiosity, and my interest in languages, theology and writing come directly from her. And now she has given me yet another gift.
The addiction to The West Wing.

(Dule Hill, who plays Charlie, is very cute. I also kinda like Joshua Malina. Although I'm increasingly disturbed that I'm attracted to someone wearing a suit.)
